41st Kona Coffee Cultural Festival : Kona, Big Island Hawaii

The National Geographic Traveler magazine features the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival in "Traveler 20" as one of the best events throughout the world in their November 2011 issue. With nearly 50 events over 10 days there’s something for everyone, from coffee drinkers to connoisseurs to multi-generational families. Festival signature events include a Coffee & Art Stroll, Cupping Competition, Farm & Mill Tours, International Lantern Parade or explore Kona coffee country’s cafe’s, shopping and community with a self-guided driving tour brochure.

This year the Festival rolls out a new, exciting parade on Friday, November 11 starting at 5pm along Alii Drive in Kailua Village! The Kona Coffee Cultural Festival will feature Ultimate Barista Challenge® Hawaii and a Kona Barista Jam. Island Baristi will come together for a rousing two days of barista hands on training sessions designed to increase coffee skills, share passion and increase local consumption followed by the celebrated UBC Hawaii barista competition. Both events occur at the Keauhou Beach Resort on November 9th and 10th.

Since its inception in 1970 the Festival has sought to preserve, perpetuate and promote Kona's unique 182-year coffee heritage. The Festival features 10 days of festivities honoring pioneers, farmers, artisans & coffee!
